another question for our reader(s)

i don't want to diminish the importance of the pol's post below, but in the name of highly important and scientific research, i ask our faithful readers this:
what is your favorite knoxville bar or night club. (man, i hate the word night club, but i think it summarizes what i am going for...you know, a place you go to during the night time).

i have a hard time with this one myself. i think the places i go most are downtown grill and brewery (though i can't really say i like its size or service. it's just convenient) and urban bar. so i guess i will say urban bar.

i also do enjoy sapphire, strictly for happy hour, before it turns into a trendy hot spot. they have a really good happy hour, though you must be warned that their service is terrible and the male bartenders tend to be jack asses.

okay, please leave your answers in comments.

I like Sassy Ann's when it's not full of students. It's one of my favorite places to bring out-of-towners.

patrick sulivan's feels like you've stepped back 100 years. it's got atmosphere out the ying yang, so lay off em! it'd be one of my favorite places if it wasn't so overpriced.
i like toddy's back door tavern if i feel like driving. for closer to home, marie's olde towne tavern. starting to see a pattern? tavern=dive=i like it

i like sullivan's; i just think the booths SUCK, there is no art and it smells kinda bad. just sayin'...

Not much of a bar patron, but I like the beer selection at Downtown Grill & Brewery. Oh, and Em, I was just at Sullivan's for the first time this weekend, and the booths did suck. Good food, though.

Hey, the booths might suck, but they are so old and full of character. Who goes to a bar to be comfortable?

Actually, I don't go to bars at all if I can help it.

the booths are the best part.
