Ice 1, The Pol 0

so I head out to work this morning early because of the bad weather. Well my parking lot is iced over so I'm not going anywhere fast. So I call in and get a tardy slip and head back inside. There's about twenty feet of sidewalk and then the door, but I bust harder than the new American Gladiators.

Humbling to say the least. Now my knee hurts. It looked kind of like this.

i went to the cansler Y this morning and fell knees first when i got out of my car.

then i weaved through mysterious back roads to avoid the traffic on my way home from the y.

then i, like jason, skated across the gay street bridge to work.

there were random police cars and fire trucks blocking certain roads on the way to work (which i did not bike) and made me have to spiral into downtown. npr said that police had stopped responding to wrecks without injuries because there have been so many.

No, today was not a good day for a bike ride. Or for driving, yet here I am at work.

I heard there were over 200 wrecks in the area this morning. One of our professors fell on the pedestrian bridge over Cumberland Ave. and broke his arm!

the very first step i took outside onto my front porch almost killed me today. luckily there was a railing that i caught myself on.

i went into work today at the ymca and a father who was dropping off one of his kids fell down and cracked his head open. he was rushed to the er, and the ymca almost closed. later, we found out he is ok, but that was a pretty close call. today was NOT a day for travel at all. it sounds like tomorrow isn't going to be any better. school's are closed are opening late. quick rush to the store and buy some eggs and milk, oh wait, i mean ...

i love the thought of all of you falling down. sorry! if it makes you feel good yesterday i had my ibuds in (listening to some hipster music) and i was running into the subway train at the last second and it closed on me and (you know how you're more likely to make noises when you have headphones on) i made a sound like a cat crossed with a little girl and after i wiggled through the door everyone in the train was looking at me. and then i randomly fell down.
