salvaged groceries

I've been super busy trying to finish up our house this month, so you won't see much thought provoking writing from ck for a while. But I do still take pictures of weird things I see. I was at Knox Rail Salvage looking for doors, and spotted this sign. I've gone past this thing hundreds of times and never noticed that "groceries" were advertised. And is that some kind of Colonel Sanders-esque mascot on top? That, my friends, is weird.

"Park in Rear" is pretty funny, too. But then I may also be twelve years old.

it looks like "park in rear" is pointing out in to the street and not around the back of the building... and is that some sort of grass covered sand dune in the background? just trying to over analyze the photo.

That's our beautiful man-made sand dune called Mount I-40, courtesy of TDOT. The entire side of Magnolia was demolished for the interstate expansion, including the late great "Chicken City". And yes, the Park in Rear is pointing to the front... and it made me think the same juvenile thought as Mickey. Park in Rear!

Maybe the salvaged grocery store is where the freegans meet and show off what they've gotten out of the dumpster.

i want to learn how to put arrows in my photos. i want to put extra emphasis on the trash in second creek in my next post. in case people don't notice it upon first glance.

PS i met ck's mom on sunday. she's cute.
