photo blog : wedge house

This is one of my favorite houses in Knoxville: the "Wedge House" in the Mechanicsville neighborhood. I've heard it was once the local hardware store, and then an enterprising pioneer gutted it and made it into a multi-level residence, back when the downtown was still severely blighted. Definitely one of the coolest places to live in Knoxville. Located at the corner of Deaderick Ave. and Carrick Street. [map]

if you street view 1407 Kenesaw, you can see the cars of former sunsphere blogger reginold and the little korean parked in the street. i guess that means they took those pictures a year ago. i really wish my car had been parked out there too.

streetview is one of the coolest things i've seen in a while. it is weird how it captures a moment in time: like when lucas, reggie, and cote cohabited. lucas- send me your new address so i can streetview your swanky new digs.
