downtown market no more...

Maybe I'm the last one to hear this, but who knows. I am out of pasta sauce and don't feel like moving my car because it's in a really good spot. I'm not lazy; it's just a long story.

Anyway, I thought: yes! tiny market at World Grotto! how convenient!

I called to make sure they were still open, but I was informed that the grocery has already been taken down.

This place just cant find it's niche. I knew it wasnt going to be in groceries, but I thought it might last longer than that.

It's almost comical how many different things have been in that space now, but really it's just sad.

weren't they kindof pricey though? somebody needs to open a market down there.

trader joe's! they moved here to nashville because of a grass roots "buzz" campaign (at least that's what i heard). get the word spreading about great healthy groceries at much cheaper prices.

i don't know if they would put one downtown, though. worth a try!

I concur. With downtown population on the rise, it's just a matter of time before something like Trader Joe's moves in. At least we can hope.

maybe world grotto should just focus on being, ya know, a bar. crazy, i know. that seems to have worked best for them.

Trader Joe's would be excellent! If they do come, we really need to work on getting the wine sales law changed, so we can buy 2 Buck Chuck!

Speaking of closing early, what about that story in the News-Sentinel today about the fight over the Cherries Internet cafe? According to the article, it was open for less than a month!
