I'm sure you've noticed

It looks like our good friend Blue Steel has some competition.
Guess they finally decided to bust out the big guns.

Hey, speaking of Blue Steel, have you ever noticed that the John H. Daniel model sorta has the Blue Steel look on his billboards?

I'd say it's rather difficult not to notice. That guy's ridiculous... ridiculously good looking, I mean.

What, no "weird knox" tag?

Now that I have educated myself on the lore of Blue Steel, I can also relate to you all that he appears in one of the local brake shop adverts.

have you seen him on TV, too? he has commercials!

i hate to think that we're giving these guys extra free advertising. i was this close to blurring out their phone numbers on the billboard but remembered they are lawyers and could probably find a way to sue the wigshop. or me.

The school portrait studio that designs the Congressional-necktie-colored backgrounds for these guys is making a mint.

You know, you're right Wax. It hadn't occurred to me that it's the exact same billboard design, sub photo, name and phone number. In fact, I think I've seen this design for law firms advertising in other cities too. Huh. I'm going to come up with a billboard design and market it to a specific niche, like alcohol rehab centers or something.

The BBQ industry lacks a consistent billboard layout template. Just a thought.

Holy crap, Wax, you're right! Thank you!

I never did think that the billboards on that corner we had to pay for to allow the move of Chesapeake's for that darned tunnel was worth it. I hate them. All of downtown is void billboards shy painted on a brick wall or a JFG overly lit one. Which are fabulous and make Knoxville unique. But why do we have to be near spotless but have these two only? I say we force them down. Advertise on the interstate, not in downtown......Brian
