I hope all 4 can survive downtown at the same time. They're spread out enough that they might do OK.Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09976216982479254963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6974628747643667572.post-16012428305358373252011-08-02T21:49:57.116-04:002011-08-02T21:49:57.116-04:00I'm really glad to hear the two stores offer s...I'm really glad to hear the two stores offer some variety. I keep meaning to check out Just Ripe, but I always seem to find myself in front of the store at about 8:05 p.m.The Modern Galhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08663558561522180816noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6974628747643667572.post-91928816010257179242011-08-02T21:46:03.462-04:002011-08-02T21:46:03.462-04:00I shopped at both Just Ripe and The Market yesterd...I shopped at both Just Ripe and The Market yesterday. Just Ripe has tofu, tempeh and more vegan-friendly deli fare that I had been driving to EarthFare or Three Rivers to pick up. At The Market I bought mixed greens, bananas, onions and a few various items to round out my husband's dinner that night. I noticed they also have pet food, while Just Ripe does not.

I think the two stores have personalities like my husband and I - one is a vegan and the other likes red meat.Joaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01379002903586014046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6974628747643667572.post-23961424481393255202011-08-02T15:01:03.520-04:002011-08-02T15:01:03.520-04:00I don't have much use for Aisle Nine (and even...I don't have much use for Aisle Nine (and even less for the "Jackson Avenue Market"), but I'd like to see both Just Ripe and The Market flourish. Hopefully they'll wind up complementing each other rather than competing head-on (I'm not sure exactly how, but I hope it works out that way).Iannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6974628747643667572.post-77367616695544969752011-08-01T09:26:36.114-04:002011-08-01T09:26:36.114-04:00So the Market is indeed different than Just Ripe a...So the Market is indeed different than Just Ripe and Aisle Nine? Color me pessimistic, but I don't see all three surviving downtown at the same time. I haven't had a chance to scope them all out though, so I don't know which one seems most likely to succeed. The Modern Galhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08663558561522180816noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6974628747643667572.post-86477268325937700442011-07-31T18:06:11.274-04:002011-07-31T18:06:11.274-04:00We saw it yesterday too!
